Volunteer
Anyone is welcome to volunteer to work at Izzy's Promise. We particularly encourage:
- Students (social work students, health care students),
- Professionals (police officers, social workers, health workers, parents, teachers, employment agencies, university lecturers, retired workers and pensioners)
- Abuse survivors willing to share their experiences and assist the support workers.
However, more important than your previous experience is your trustworthy character, caring attitude and your willingness and readiness to support and work without a salary.
There are numerous tasks you can help with, such as: answering phones, emails, texts and personal contacts with survivors visiting survivors for support, attending seminars, conferences and workshops on organised abuse matters advocacy raising awareness on organised abuse matters. Volunteering with us gives you an opportunity to be involved with a major UK Charity dealing with survivors of organised abuse and gain skills and knowledge in terms of assisting survivors with their transition process.
